Korea Construction Newspaper, KINTEX, and the Smart Construction Exchange Association will host the "8th Smart Construction Seminar" at 12:00 PM on September 17th (Wednesday) in Hall 4 of KINTEX Exhibition Center 1.

Smart Construction Exchange Association Chairman Cho Seong-min stated, "In a rapidly changing technological environment, the construction industry can no longer maintain competitiveness solely through traditional, analog methods. This seminar, themed "K-Smart Technology, Expanding the Ecosystem Beyond Pilots," will provide an opportunity to explore practical application cases and expansion plans for smart construction."

Key programs include domestic and international smart technology cases, AI-based construction data utilization, modular technology, and digital platforms. This seminar brings together experts to share new paradigms in construction technology and explore innovation across the industry.

The seminar will begin with opening remarks by Chairman Cho Sung-min, followed by congratulatory remarks from President Choi Dong-ho of the Korean Society of Civil Engineers and President Kim Gyu-yong of the Korean Society of Civil Engineers.

Choi Hee-jung, Adjunct Professor of Architecture at Ewha Womans University and CEO of Crossbeam, will serve as moderator.

The 8th Smart Construction Seminar will consist of three parts. Part 1: Expanding the Smart Construction Ecosystem: "AI and Data," Part 2: Expanding the Smart Construction Ecosystem: "Disaster Safety and Accident Prevention," and Part 3: Expanding the Smart Construction Ecosystem: "Modular" and Other Smart Technologies.

In Part 1: Expanding the Smart Construction Ecosystem: "AI and Data," Doaz CEO Kim Young-tae will discuss innovation in the construction industry through the "Con GPT" AI chatbot, a generative AI platform that handles on-site construction, drawing and design analysis, risk assessment, and confidential data document reporting. Seonggeon Engineering CEO Hong Sung-hyo will present "Oasis-A," an intelligent construction digital platform utilizing iView technology, which prevents poor construction and structural safety.

Additionally, Teamwork CEO Jeong Wook-chan will present "Ponder," a construction site management service utilizing AI agents (video recording management, AI process management, and design drawing analysis). Theboo Engineering CEO Kim Yong-hee will present "Rebar Shop Drawing Using 3D Rebar BIM." Hanwha Solutions Strategic Business Division Manager Jeong Ki-hyeok will present "Strengthening Data Center Capabilities and Exploring Development Plans." Korea Expressway Corporation Road Traffic Research Institute Senior Researcher Kim Ki-hwan will present "Dr. Bridge (Superscript) AI," suggesting a digital transformation in bridge maintenance.
